Alcaraz will face 24-time Grand Slam champion and four-time US Open winner, Novak Djokovic, in the semis having reached the last-four stage for a third time at Flushing Meadows.

Earlier, the Spaniard defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the fourth-round to book his spot in the quarter-finals, achieving more milestone en route.

This is the first time in his career that Alcaraz reached the quarter-finals at all four Grand Slams in a single season.
