At the age of 22 years, 111 days, the Spaniard is also now the youngest player in history to reach Grand Slam semi-finals on all three surfaces in a single year on multiple occasions.
He did that previously also in 2023, reaching the semi-finals at the US Open, Wimbledon, and French Open.
Alcaraz will face 24-time Grand Slam champion and four-time US Open winner, Novak Djokovic, in the semis having reached the last-four stage for a third time at Flushing Meadows.
Earlier, the Spaniard defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the fourth-round to book his spot in the quarter-finals, achieving more milestone en route.
This is the first time in his career that Alcaraz reached the quarter-finals at all four Grand Slams in a single season.
By reaching the quarter-finals at US Open 2025, Alcaraz also joined an exclusive list as only the sixth man in Open Era to reach the US Open quarter-finals four times before turning 23, standing alongside John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Lleyton Hewitt, and Andy Roddick.
Alcaraz continues to dominate the season, leading the ATP tour with 59 match wins and six titles this season, including his fifth Grand Slam crown at Roland Garros. He’s also maintained a perfect 19-0 record in Grand Slam opening rounds.
The five-time Grand Slam champion will now Djokovic in what promises to be a blockbuster semi-final in New York.
The Spaniard will be looking for revenge after Djokovic ended his run at the Australian Open 2025 quarter-finals. This will be their first meeting since.
