Next Gen ATP Finals 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Arthur Fils and Alex Michelsen are among the stars from the next generation leading the field in Jeddah.
The Next Gen ATP Finals 2024 edition is to get underway in Jeddah on December 18, with the world’s leading players on the ATP tour under 20 making a beeline for the event. The top eight by ranking gain entry into the event.
Arthur Fils, last year’s finalist, will return to mount an attempt for ownership of the trophy for the second year in a row. Fils, the top seed last year, lost to Serbian Hamad Medjedovic in a five-set nailbiter in the inaugural Jeddah edition of the Next Gen Finals in 2023. Luca Van Assche and Alex Michelsen have also gained entry into the event for the second year running.
Fils, a 20-year-old Frenchman, is the top seed in the 2024 edition too and will be joined by Jakub Mensik, Learner Tien and Joao Fonseca in the Blue Group. Arthur Fils has a tricky path to the knockout stage in the Red Group courtesy of Mensik and Fonseca. Alex Michelsen, the second seed, leads the Red Group with Shang Juncheng, Luca Van Assche and Nishesh Basavareddy giving him company.
Top seed Fils fought his way to a pair of ATP 500 titles in Hamburg and Tokyo, while second seed Michelsen advanced to the title rounds in Newport and Winston-Salem. It was Michelsen’s second Newport final in a row. Mensik advanced to his maiden final at Doha and bagged the ATP Newcomer of the Year award in 2024. He was 18 when he made it to the title round at Doha.
Thanks to a quarter-final run at the Rio Open and the Bucharest Open, Fonseca rapidly rose through the ranks, finishing at No. #145 from No. #730 at the beginning of the season. Juncheng won his first ATP Tour title in Chengdu, and American Basavareddy won two titles on the ATP Challenger Tour.
Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Stefanos Tsitsipas are part of the honour roll to have won the Next Gen ATP Finals while Milan, Italy, was hosting the event.
