Laver Cup 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz will headline team Europe and World respectively.
One of most thrilling rivalries in men’s tennis is set to unfold in San Francisco this weekend as the Laver Cup 2025 kick-off on Friday, September 19.
The tournament, named after tennis legend Rod Laver, is unlike any other in the sport. It pits just two teams against each other: Team Europe, packed with stars from the continent, and Team World, featuring the best players from the rest of the globe.
This year, all eyes will be on world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz, who comes in fresh off his US Open 2025 title run. He will lead a star-studded Team Europe that also includes Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune, and Casper Ruud. Team World will counter with American powerhouses including Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

For the first-time ever, tennis greats Andre Agassi (Team World) and Yannick Noah (Team Europe) will step in as captains.
Last year, Europe edged out World 13-11 in the two-team battle held in Germany. Spanish sensation Alcaraz sealed the title by defeating Fritz in the deciding singles match, 6-2, 7-5.
It was Europe’s fifth Laver Cup crown since the event started in 2017. It also marked the perfect farewell for Bjorn Borg, who bowed out after seven years as captain for team Europe.
When is Laver Cup 2025 scheduled to take place?
The eighth edition of the Laver Cup will be held from September 19 to 21. Matches will be played on the indoor hard courts.
Which city will host Laver Cup 2025?
Matches will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, United States, from September 19 to 21.
What is the format of Laver Cup 2025?
The Laver Cup is an annual men’s tennis tournament featuring two teams—Team Europe and Team World—of six players each and an alternate player in each side. Both teams go against each other in a series of singles and doubles matches over three days.
The scoring system is progressive meaning a team can mount a huge comeback on the final day as the points for each win increases daily: one point on Friday, two on Saturday, and three on Sunday.
The first team to reach a total of 13 points wins the tournament. Each of the six players on a team must play at least one singles match, but no more than two.
Additionally, at least four of the six players on each team have to play doubles. Team captains plan strategies by choosing the pairings for each match.
