Nick Kyrgios has been inactive on the ATP tour for over a year.

After 432 days, Nick Kyrgios is gearing up for his return to tennis at New York. He will be seen in action at Forest Hills Stadium and will be playing in Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS). The event has already seen tremendous success amongst the fans and the inclusion of Kyrgios will only add more excitement.

The Australian player will be playing in UTS on August 22-23 and has been given the title ‘King Kyrgios’ for the event. Kyrgios will face ‘The Iceman’ Casper Ruud on August 22 and his next fixtures will be decided by the result of the match. There will be six more players joining Kyrgios and Ruud at Forest Hills Stadium.

Kyrgios had last played a match at Stuttgart Open last year in June and had lost in the opening round against Wu Yibing. A right wrist injury had forced him to take a break from the ATP tour but now fans will hope that Kyrgios will make a full fledged return. The UTS match will ensure that he does not stress to much and take things slow when he steps on the court.
