Kyrgios will face ‘The Iceman’ Casper Ruud on August 22 and his next fixtures will be decided by the result of the match. There will be six more players joining Kyrgios and Ruud at Forest Hills Stadium.
Kyrgios had last played a match at Stuttgart Open last year in June and had lost in the opening round against Wu Yibing. A right wrist injury had forced him to take a break from the ATP tour but now fans will hope that Kyrgios will make a full fledged return. The UTS match will ensure that he does not stress to much and take things slow when he steps on the court.
