Which players has best odds to win Wimbledon 2025?
Men’s Singles
Despite all the upsets, at least three of the four remaining ATP players come as no surprise. The fourth one was largely a toss-up between #3 Alexander Zverev and #5 Taylor Fritz. The German’s opening round exit made the task easier for the American. However, Fritz’s path was full of challenges that he managed to overcome successfully.
The two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz was a massive favourite at the start of the tournament, but he began slowly, making experts question his title defense preparedness. However, the Spaniard put all conversations to bed, after his quarter-final win over Cameron Norrie, where he won in straight sets. He continues to be the most likely of the four to lift the title.
Jannik Sinner, the top seed, was all but doomed in his fourth-round battle against Grigor Dimitrov. The Italian was two sets to love down as the Bulgarian seemed on track to pull off an incredible upset.
However, an unfortunate mishap, shattered his dreams. Sinner crushed Ben Shelton in the quarters, and is favoured over Novak Djokovic, to reach the finals.
Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champhas had two shaky matches recently, against Alex de Minaur and Flavio Cobolli. Plenty of errors have come off the Serbian’s racquet, yet he remains third on this list, just as he was when the tournament began.
Meanwhile, Fritz, who is set to face Alcaraz in the semi-finals, has the lowest odds among the four, which places him last in the pecking order.

Women’s Singles
For the eighth consecutive time, Wimbledon will have a new female champion. While fans are now used to seeing WTA upsets on grass, two big names have managed to withstand the storm. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is on track for a fourth straight Grand Slam final appearance, and could contest against Iga Swiatek, who is the second favourite on the list.
Swiatek last won a title in 2024 at Roland Garros, but has been unstoppable on grass this season, a statement which very few would have believed at the end of the clay court swing. Neither has progressed beyond the semi-finals, and history awaits them.
It would be very typical of WTA, if neither of these two end up in the finals. Amanda Anisimova and Belinda Bencic do not have the odds stacked in their favour, and should they win, those gambling on them are certain to earn a fortune.
The Russian has been breathtaking, and her journey from losing in the qualifiers last year to reaching the top four this year is inspiring. Bencic’s story is even more impressive, as after becoming a mom in 2024, this is her biggest achievement in tennis since. This is her best outing at Wimbledon by far. Her complete game gives her the tools to go all the way.
Unlike the ATP, any of the women could win, making it all the more exciting and unpredictable.
