Becky Lynch is one of the greatest female professional wrestlers of the modern WWE era, with a successful career. She is a six-time World Champion and one time Tag Team Champion. She won all the championships in the Women's division on the main roster and became the Sixth Women's Triple Crown Champion. Despite holding all the major championships, she has never won the NXT Women's Championship, which has been a void in her resume. It is now rumored backstage that Becky is all set to become the NXT Women's Champion.

Becky Lynch as NXT Women’s Champion

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that WWE has been discussing the possible ending to the match, which is however limited. However, he stated that a championship change will not surprise him.

Meltzer on Becky Lynch vs Tiffany Stratton,

"I wouldn't be surprised to see a title change. They're pushing that she's never won the title, and I don't see the way WWE works that Tiffany Stratton is beating her. Basically, your choices are Becky wins the title or cheap DQ." [h/t Ringside News]

Why Becky never won NXT Women’s Championship

Becky Lynch made his way into WWE by debuting on NXT in 2013. Becky spent most of her time in NXT in tag teams and non-title matches. She had a couple of shots on the NXT Women's Championship on multiple starred matches (Fatal 4-Way & Triple Threat matches) but failed to capture on both the occasions. She was soon called for the main roster debut as a part of Women's Revolution by forming Team PCB with Paige and Charlotte.

Reason behind Becky’s NXT return revealed

Bryan Alvarez when speaking to Wrestling Observer Live said that the Lynch return to NXT is determined to beat AEW Dynamite demographically.

Bryan Alvarez says,

"So, they're going in for the kill next week [for WWE NXT]. They're determined to beat AEW Dynamite in the 18-49 demographic," [h/t Cultaholic]
