CM Punk in serious talks with WWE & a 'Safe Bet' for Survivor Series appearance

CM Punk was released from WWE in 2014 after a disagreement with WWE Management. After which, he retired from pro-wrestling and pursued a career in Mixed Martial Arts, and Sports Commentary. However he came out of his retirement and debuted in AEW.
He had a lackluster run with AEW and got released there following a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry at AEW All In London. There were multiple rumors that Punk will return to WWE, as he already had backstage talks with the company about his return. Now a backstage report gives a great hope for the wrestling fans.
CM Punk returns at Survivor Series
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s report, CM Punk and WWE have been in serious talks about returning to the company. He also mentioned that if the deal is made, he would make his surprise return at Survivor Series in Chicago.
Dave Meltzer says,
“Regarding CM Punk, there is obviously tons of talk regarding him returning. There have been rumors that it’s happening, but those in WWE have only said that no deal is completed and those close to Punk have told us that it is his intention to return and the two sides are in talks. One would expect if such a deal is made that Survivor Series weekend in Chicago would be the time to do the surprise return,”
To strengthen the report, Nick Hausman of Hause of Wrestling reported that an inside source from WWE claimed that CM Punk returning to Survivor Series is a “safe bet”.
WWE teases Punk’s return
On the post-media event of NXT No Mercy, Shawn Michael was asked about CM Punk, where he said that he is open to work with CM Punk in NXT. WWE in recent weeks has been using words that refer to CM Punk such as “Best in the World” “Manipulator” & “Puppets” which Punk used in the iconic promos.
How would you see Punk returning to WWE at Survivor Series in front of his home crowd in Chicago, Illinois?
