Why Jey Uso is called 'Main Event Jey Uso' in WWE universe?

Year 2023 has been a great year for Jey Uso, as he has transformed himself into one of the top stars in WWE. Jey has had a great run so far with a lot of heartbreaks, emotions and involvement in big moments of the company. Jey Uso began the year as an Undisputed WWE Tag Team champion with Jimmy Uso.

He had issues with Sami Zayn and Bloodline, he then sorted it out and main evented WrestleMania for the very first time. He then had a setback with failed pursuits to regain the tag team championship. However, he left The Bloodline and had a feud with The Tribal Chief himself, but his twist cost him the match. 

With frustration, Jey returned to Raw, where he finally recaptured the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, but with Cody Rhodes. Although they lost the title to Judgment Day, they are about to have a championship rematch in the upcoming week.

Not only will he challenge for the rematch on Raw, Jey Uso will also go for a war against Judgment Day at Survivor Series 2023, aligning with Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. If the Men’s WarGames Match features in the main event of Survivor Series Match, Jey Uso will be the one to be involved in the main event of all the Big Five pay-per-views of WWE in 2023. 

WWE has a tradition of hosting big-five pay-per-views every year, which includes Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

Main Event Jey Uso

Royal Rumble 2023

Jey Uso originally was not a part of Royal Rumble 2023, however played a major role in the pay-per-view. Roman Reigns faced Kevin Owens in the main event of Royal Rumble, where Sami Zayn stood on Roman Reigns’ corner. Roman Reigns won the match and called his cousins to the ring, where Owens was handcuffed and was attacked by The Usos, Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns.

Zayn refused to attack Owens and instead attacked Roman Reigns with a chair by turning on The Bloodline. When all attacked Sami Zayn, Jey Uso refused to attack him and left the ring, making one of the most emotional moments of the company.

WrestleMania 39

The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) defended their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 39- Night 1. The Usos lost the tag team titles after a hard-fought match.

Money in the Bank 2023

At Money in the Bank, The Usos faced Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline, where Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns, by becoming the first person to pin Roman Reigns after three long-years. He proved that Roman Reigns can be defeated, by ending his undefeated streak.

SummerSlam 2023

At SummerSlam 2023, Jey Uso faced Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat Match, where both the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and the Tribal Chief status were on the line. Jey Uso had a hard fight and lost the match, after Jimmy Uso turned on him.

Survivor Series WarGames 2023

Jey Uso is now featured in the Men’s WarGames Match involving Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn on his team against Damien Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh of Judgment Day. If this match features in the main event, Jey Uso will prove why he is called The Main Event Jey Uso.
