At some point or another we have all believed these rumors to be true
While the action in the WWE ring appears to be extremely genuine, the majority of it, including the promos and vicious bouts, is planned and designed to fit into a plot. Now, as a result of these storylines, many speculations have surfaced about some of the most well-known wrestlers in the industry. These rumors stem from the personas that wrestlers project in the arena.
From secret groups to aliens (yep, you read that correctly), conspiracy theorists have left no stone unturned when it comes to inventing stories about the wrestlers in the company.
5. Vince McMahon being part of a cult
Vince McMahon has been regarded as one of the most wicked characters in professional wrestling. From litigation to innumerable charges, the man has seen it all. We won’t get into the specifics of these claims right now, but everyone will agree that he fits the role of a villain admirably.
All of this contributed to the assumption that he led a cult or a secret organization that controlled the whole professional wrestling business. This is perhaps the only myth on this list that is credible, because everyone, for some reason, likes secret societies.
4. The Rock is an undercover agent
At this time, everyone understands and accepts that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is the most electrifying personality in professional wrestling. However, considering his charm and in-ring presence, there were speculations that The Rock was an undercover spy, namely a CIA operative, who had infiltrated the WWE to gather intelligence. It’s unclear what this knowledge was, but if this myth is accurate, he’d have disappeared long ago.
3. Hulk Hogan is an Alien
Given his character and stature, people felt Hulk Hogan in WWE was an extraterrestrial. We’re not sure how this happened because there are many other people in professional wrestling and elsewhere that have a similar size and shape. However, for some strange reason, Hulk Hogan was connected with alien life, and some people still think this to be true today.
2. Who is Kane?
Glenn Jacobs, the current Mayor of Knox County, was a member of the Brothers of Destruction WWE stable and teamed up with The Undertaker. During the early stages of his wrestling career, he wore a mask to the ring to conceal his identity. There were several legends about why he wore a mask, including theories about his face being charred in the flames of hell and his being engaged in a fire disaster.
1. The Undertaker being The Deadman
The Undertaker’s persona was designed with a sense of mystery in mind for WWE fans. So, as he progressed through his several evil identities, reports of his being able to control the weather, resurrecting after seven deaths and even becoming a real-life Warlock were increasingly widespread. However, unlike the others on the list, these rumors benefited him since they brought dimension to his dark and gloomy demeanor.
