‘The Man’ lost her title rematch against Liv Morgan
Becky Lynch is one of the greatest women professional wrestlers of all time, who played a major role in the women’s revolution. Lynch has been in WWE since 2013 and has achieved great heights. She is a nine-time champion & the sixth Grand Slam Champion in the company. It was reported that Becky Lynch’s contract is coming near to an end within weeks.
With ongoing rumors, Becky Lynch fought Liv Morgan on Raw, which most of the fans considered as Becky’s last match. Following that fans spotted Becky getting emotional during her match and after the show. Becky has also posted a tweet on X saying, “To be continued” after the show, hinting at her departure from the company. So what’s Becky’s current status with WWE?
Backstage reports on Becky Lynch’s contract
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported before this week’s Monday Night Raw reported that Fightful Select has leared that Becky Lynch had not signed a new WWE deal and her current contract is set to expire this weekend.
The report says that Becky’s contract will expire on June 1, 2024 and she will become a free agent. He said that both sides are in communication with each other, however nothing has materialized yet. However he believes that her new contract will be the biggest offer of any woman in pro-wrestling.
Backstage reports on Becky Lynch’s last match status
Ross Sapp after Raw on the Results and Review Show answered a fan’s question saying,
“It didn’t fell like Becky Lynch’s last match. To which Meltzer said, “I don’t know what to tell you. Do I think it’s her last match ever? No. Do I think that she has resigned with WWE this weekend? Probably not. She had posted that tweet. I don’t know what to tell you about this.”
Becky’s tweet:
Another fan asked Should Becky go to AEW? Will it be the biggest jump in professional wrestling history?
Ross Sapp said,
“I don’t think this will be the biggest in wrestling history… She could go to AEW. I would imagine this time next week Becky Lynch with the biggest offer / offers in wrestling history for a woman. You don’t know Becky Lynch’s motivations or priorities, she is a multi-millionaire with a multi-millionaire husband, who just has a brand new contract. They have a child together. She has accomplished everything in WWE. She has been wrestling for a long time, she has a best selling book. She’s done a lot. She worked hurt, she worked sick and worked sick for WrestleMania”
“You don’t know what her priority and motivation are. I don’t know either. As of this particular moment, anything is possible.”
Talking about Becky’s send off, Ross Sapp believes that it was a great send off. As of now, I believe that it is not Becky Lynch’s last WWE match ever. He continued stating that WWE will follow her up with a huge contract before she hits the free agent period. He said that “Becky is all about business”.
