WWE should have included top European stars on the Clash in Paris match card.
The road to WWE’s next Premium Live Event, Clash in Paris, is approaching the end. The event will take place on August 31 at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. WWE has added immense star power for the show, scheduling stars like John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Roman Reigns to compete.
However, apart from Sheamus and Rusev, who are set to compete in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match, there are no European stars announced for the show. This was a surprising decision considering a huge event is taking place in a major European city. Here are the top four stars from Europe who should have been on the card of WWE Clash in Paris 2025:
4. Aleister Black
Aleister Black returned to WWE weeks after the end of the WrestleMania season this year. He is regaining his position as a formidable fixture on SmackDown, most recently in a feud against R-Truth. The former House of Black leader, who is from the Netherlands, should have been on the Clash in Paris card to gain a major boost by performing at a top show in Europe amidst his rise.
3. Lyra Valkyria
One of the most surprising decisions made by WWE was not including Lyra Valkyria as part of the SmackDown edition that took place in her hometown of Dublin, Ireland. It could have been a huge resurgence for her after taking a major loss against Becky Lynch at SummerSlam 2025. Moreover, WWE should have scheduled her for a match at Clash in Paris, which would have helped her regain momentum as a rising star on Monday Night RAW.
2. Piper Niven
Piper Niven was a top fixture for the last edition of the WWE Clash PLE that took place in her home country of Scotland, competing for the Women’s title. However, this time, she is nowhere to be found on the card. Niven recently delivered a spectacular in-ring performance against Charlotte Flair in Dublin, which showed she could have really shone in a match at WWE Clash in Paris 2025.
1. Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre, headlined WWE Clash that took place in Scotland in a match for the World Heavyweight title. Although he has been a part of the overseas tour leading up to Clash in Paris, a star like McIntyre has not been included for the PLE this year, which is seemingly not the best decision taken by WWE.
