The Men’s Speed No. 1 Contenders Tournament will kick off tonight.

The December 23, 2025, episode of WWE NXT will not be airing live tonight. The episode airing this week was pre-taped in advance last week at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

WWE chose to tape two editions of the show in advance, likely to give talent time off during the holiday season and for the upcoming live tour after Christmas. The promotion also pre-taped the main roster shows of Raw and SmackDown.

Even though the episode is pre-taped, it promises to be packed with news, including key storylines and a championship match, as NXT heads toward its New Year’s Evil event.

Chelsea Green will defend the US title against Sol Ruca

One of the highly anticipated matches for tonight’s show is between the one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag team and Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and NXT’s rising sensation Sol Ruca.

Green will defend the Women’s United States title for the first time in her second reign against the rising star from NXT, who, after losing both the Speed and the Women’s North American titles, is looking to reclaim the glory.

Furthermore, Lola Vice and Izzi Dame will lock horns in a singles match, while the team of Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye will take on Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace in a mixed-tag team match.
