The aftermath of SummerSlam carries huge anticipation!
Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The episode will serve as the fallout show from SummerSlam 2025, which concluded last weekend and featured multiple moments that will redefine storylines and create new ones.
The newly crowned WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, is set to address the WWE Universe this week. John Cena is also set for an appearance on the show.
Ahead of tonight’s show, here are the top four potential spoilers that might be in store for fans on WWE SmackDown.
4. Damian Priest retaliates
After back-to-back attacks, Damian Priest decided to settle the feud with Aleister Black inside the squared circle. However, the match ended with Black once again dismantling Priest and taking him out with a black mass.
On tonight’s show, Damian will likely decide to retaliate and punish Aleister for last week’s vicious beatdown. The feud between the two stars is likely going to reach a boiling point ahead of the Clash in Paris.

3. Number one contenders match
WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton successfully defended the title against Jade Cargill on Night 1 at the 2025 edition of SummerSlam. Stratton is currently on an undefeated streak and has defended her title seven times.
Women’s World Champion Naomi is set to face the winner of the 20-Woman battle royal, Stephanie Vaquer. However, there is no clear number one contender when it comes to the Women’s title and this might change tonight as GM Nick Aldis will likely put together the match to decide the next challenger for Stratton.
2. Drew McIntyre confronts Cody Rhodes

As mentioned, the newly crowned WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to make an appearance on tonight’s show.
The appearance comes after his win in the main event of Night 2 of the PLE, where he pinned John Cena to regain the title. The American Nightmare will likely be confronted by Drew McIntyre, who is also coming off a win at the PLE and has clear intentions to regain the World title. Randy Orton is also another potential challenger for Rhodes and the long history between him and Rhodes would make for an intriguing storyline.

1. Brock Lesnar attacks again

Brock Lesnar made his return after two years during the final moments of Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025 and attacked John Cena, taking him out with a vicious F5. Cena was coming off a loss in the main event against Cody Rhodes, losing the WWE title moments ago, when the Beast Incarnate struck.
Following Cena‘s face turn and his losing the title, it seems like the promotion is planning to revive the feud between the two stars. Lesnar might attack Cena during his appearance tonight to further intensify the feud, which could culminate in a clash between the two after over a decade.
