The 8/12 episode of WWE Raw could be filled with several surprises

WWE is all set to host the August 12, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, United States. WWE has set the stage for some of the interesting matches and segments on the show.

In the fallout of SummerSlam, WWE could have several surprises planned for the show as an addition. Here we take a look at the top five surprises that could be in store for WWE Raw this week.

5. Rhea Ripley gets a title rematch

WWE has officially announced that Rhea Ripley will kick off this week’s Raw. Last time when The Eradicator opened the show, she called for the title shot against Liv Morgan with Dominik Mysterio on his side. However Dom stays with Liv, but Ripley could still call for a rematch for the title, ensuring that Dom could be a threat to her challenge. Ripley could get her championship rematch at Bash in Berlin with special stipulations.

4. CM Punk could be in action

CM Punk recently got medically cleared and performed his first match at SummerSlam 2024. During his recovery time, Punk appeared on the shows and claimed that the next time he was in the city, he would be having his boots on for the fight. With that being said, Punk could make his Raw in-ring return after over ten years, irrespective of who his opponent is.

3. Trick Williams’s main roster debut

Trick Williams and Pete Dunne have been having a rivalry in NXT and they had a match last week. Dunne picked up the victory, however they brawled backstage to continue their feud. Dunne also has a heated rivalry with Sheamus on the main roster. At this stage, Trick Williams could make his main roster debut this week to attack Dunne and could have the back of Sheamus.

2. Randy Orton’s in-ring return on Raw

Randy Orton is scheduled to appear on this week’s Raw, after getting his world title shot against Gunther for Bash in Berlin. Gunther has a routine of observing his opponents, by making his disciple Ludwig Kaiser pick up a fight against his opponents. At this stage, The Viper could have his first match on Raw after nearly ten months against Ludwig Kaiser.

1. Sami Zayn regains Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn lost his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker at SummerSlam 2024. At this stage, Sami called for a rematch for the title this week in two out of three fall stipulations. At this stage, Sami could potentially dethrone Bron Breakker within two weeks and shock the entire WWE Universe.
