The 10/18 episode of SmackDown will take place in Columbia

WWE is all geared up to host the October 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. The card is stacked from top to bottom including a long-teased tag team debut and a clash with title implications among others.

Ahead of the WWE SmackDown event in South Carolina let us take a look at the top five storylines to watch out for on this week’s SmackDown.

5. Tiffany Stratton might cash in her MIB contract

The friendship between Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax has been in muddy waters since Stratton was caught red-handed while contemplating to cash in her contract against Jax. Jax was defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley.

Since the mishap, there has been an underlying tension between the two as Tiffany can cash in her Money in the Bank contract anywhere and at any time. After a failed attempt by Jax and Tiffany to cash in on WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Tiffany might be looking to cash in against her friend Nia Jax this week.

4. MCMG might face Los Garza in their debut

WWE has been teasing the arrival of new wrestlers by airing cryptic messages during recent RAW and SmackDown episodes. Recent reports suggest that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, The Motor City Machine Guns will make their debut this week.

SmackDown GM Nick Aldis has already stated that he has hand-picked an opponent for the team of Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, the Los Garza. It seems highly likely that the team that takes on Los Garza might be the team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

3. Kevin Owens might appear despite suspension

One of the biggest surprises that the WWE could pull is the appearance of Kevin Owens despite his suspension. The recent fallout between Owens and Cody Rhodes coupled with his recent confrontation with his friend Randy Orton and a subsequent attack backstage by Owens led to Owen’s suspension.

However, Owens has still been unable to tell his side of the story and has given the WWE an ultimatum to share the video of him explaining his side of the story. There is a chance that Owens take matters into his own hands and make an appearance despite suspension.

2. The Bloodline might attack Roman Reigns again

Since his return after a several-month hiatus, ‘The Original Tribal Chied’ Roman Reigns was brutally attacked by the Bloodline last week on SmackDown. The Bloodline also attacked Jimmy Uso who was standing beside his Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso are currently outnumbered as Reigns is against the idea of reuniting with Jey Uso. Jey himself isn’t keen on the idea and is focusing on his title reign. This dynamic can lead to Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline attacking Reigns to further solidify their dominance.

1. Paul Heyman might return to SmackDown

‘The One Behind The One In 21-1’ Paul Heyman might return to SmackDown in what would be a roof-shattering surprise for WWE fans. Roman Reign’s recent problem of being outnumbered against the Bloodline can be solved by The Wiseman.

Heyman can talk some sense into Reigns and convince him to bury the hatch and reunite with Jey Uso. The reunion of Jey Uso with Reigns and Jimmy Uso is a very crucial thing that could help The OTC in dismantling Bloodline 2.0.
