This week’s episode of the Red brand will emanate from Houston, Texas
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., and will feature two high-stakes semi-final matches in the Women’s Intercontinental title tournament.
The 12/30 show will be the final episode of the Red brand in 2024 as well as the last show on the USA Network. Monday Night Raw will move to the streaming platform Netflix with its first episode set for January 6 at the Intutit Dome.
Ahead of the 12/30 episode let us take a look at the top five WWE surprises you should watch out for this Monday night’s show.
5. Iyo Sky advances
Iyo Sky stepped in to replace her Damage CTRL stablemate Dakota Kai, not Kairi Sane, in the Women’s Intercontinental Title Tournament after Dakota Kai suffered an injury due to a backstage attack.
Sky defeated Natalya and Alba Fyre on last week’s show, setting up an exciting semifinal clash with Lyra Valkyria.
Iyo Sky has become one of the top stars in the women’s division in recent times and her recent World title loss against Liv Morgan at SNME has not hindered her momentum. There is a possibility that the promotion will push Sky resulting in her win in the semi-finals against Valkyria.

4. Judgement Day emerges victorious
On this week’s episode, Damian Priest and the War Raiders will unite to face Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day in a heated battle. Priest and Balor are locked in a fierce feud, Damian interfered during the tag title defense of Balor & McDonagh against the War Raiders.
War Raiders defeated Balor & McDonagh to become the new tag champions, this led to an unlikely alliance between War Raiders and Priest who have teamed up to take down the Judgment Day.
However, the Judgment Day will likely emerge victorious in the clash on the 12/30 show as they still have the numbers advantage and they never shy away from using dirty tricks.

3. Gunther’s next opponent revealed
‘The Ring General’ Gunther recently defended the World Heavyweight title against Damian Priest and Finn Balor in a triple threat match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Ring General then appeared during the WWE Raw on Netflix kick-off event.
Former United States Champion Logan Paul also made his return during the event and expressed his intentions to fight for the heavyweight title. Gunther issued a stern warning to Logan during his appearance, cautioning him about the daunting challenge that lies ahead in facing the Ring General.
There is a possibility that the promotion might reveal Logan to be the next opponent for the Ring General. The former US Champion has joined the Red brand and will return shortly after a long hiatus which began after his loss to LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024.
2. CM Punk & Seth Rollins engage in a brawl
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk is scheduled to lock horns with ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins in a grudge match at the premier episode of the Red brand on Netflix next week.
Ahead of their scheduled clash, the two stars are advertised for tonight’s show at the Toyota Centre. The mutual hatred between the two stars is pretty evident every time they come face to face.
There is a high possibility that the two stars would engage in a brawl on this week’s episode. This segment would not only be used to hype up the match but also add to the storyline.
1. Raw – Netflix preview
As the Stamford-based promotion prepares for the Netflix debut the final episode of the Red brand would be used to build up hype and announce segments for the debut show next week.
The promotion might also announce the transition of the Red brand back to the three-hour format, similar to what they did on Friday Night SmackDown last week.
The show would also feature segments involving stars who are scheduled to clash on the debut show. Announcement of new matches for the debut show might also be in the cards for this week’s episode.
