Drew McIntyre is set to return to RAW following his week off from last week’s edition of the show.
The months-long rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will look to close its final chapter at WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event, WWE Bad Blood. The event is set to take place on Saturday, October 5, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta Georgia.
Following Drew McIntyre emerging victorious in their first match at WWE SummerSlam and CM Punk winning in their second encounter at Bash in Berlin in a strap match, their third match will take place inside Hell in a Cell. Following CM Punk’s emotional promo last week, McIntyre will be in the house next week to address his opponent and here are the three predictions on what he could do:
3. Loser Leaves RAW
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been feuding with each other since January 2024, when McIntyre injured Punk’s triceps and put him on the sidelines. Ever since both men have been trying to get rid of each other, only for one of them to reinforce the issue again and again.
As Adam Pearce has mentioned, this will be the end of their heated rivalry, and Drew McIntyre will throw a major curveball to ensure he is finished with The Best in the World. McIntyre can have a major stipulation put in for their match at Bad Blood. The competitor who fails to walk out of Hell in a Cell as the winner would leave Monday Night RAW permanently to put this feud to rest and the other one could move ahead to pursue other endeavors.
2. Bring Families into the real mix
A focal point in the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has been bringing Punk’s family into the mix, i.e. his wife, AJ Lee and dog, Larry. Moreover, he even destroyed Punk’s precious bracelet, which had their names, after keeping it for weeks and losing it to Punk at Bash in Berlin.
McIntyre’s address could see him dare to challenge Punk to bring his family to Bad Blood to save him or watch him get pulverized by The Scottish Warrior. This could also pave the way for a one-night off appearance of AJ Lee and end this feud on a high note.
1. World Championship contender
Amidst their rivalry, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have also made it evident that they both have their eyes on the World Heavyweight Championship. Their last encounter in Hell in a Cell could raise the stakes for them, as Drew could get some strings pulled and have the winner of their match become the next No.1 contender for the title.
