A tag team championship ladder match is announced for 10/4 SmackDown!
The Bloodline is a major threat in the SmackDown tag team roster and it got worse when Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu won the WWE Tag Team Championship from DIY. The Bloodline gave no chance for their opponents to get near the title and completely dominated the previous matches against DIY and Street Profits one after the other.
Now the Bloodline’s title is in a major threat as both DIY and Street Profits are set to challenge Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa for the WWE Tag Team Championship next week (October 4, 2024) on SmackDown in a ladder match. As the match gets confirmed, here we take a look at five possible finishes for the triple threat tag team ladder match.
5. DIY wins
Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano had a hard run for the tag team titles and finally managed to win the titles by July, but the Bloodline cut short their title reign within a month. DIY never got a clean finish for the titles and this could be their time to regain the tag team titles again. DIY already had a great experience fighting in the tag team ladder match and that could help them get their titles back.
4. Street Profits wins
The Street Profits haven’t won the tag team titles for almost half a decade. Keeping them away from the tag team titles has been a downgrade to the Tag Team Triple Crown Champions. It is well known how capable Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are. With no rules in place, they could showcase their extreme athleticism to outperform the other two teams to secure the win clean. Dawkins clearing the house and Ford clinching the gold could put them back on track.
3. Bloodline wins clean
Bloodline could retain the tag team titles clean without the interference of other two members of their faction. The heel faction is known for their cheap tricks and dirty finishes, with which they have been winning the match till date. However, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa could win the match cleanly to prove that they need no assist to remain champions.
2. Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso cost Bloodline the title
With no rules in play for the triple threat match, there is a high chance that all the Bloodline will work in the match to keep the titles within the stable. At this stage Roman Reigns could return with Jimmy Uso to counter the Bloodline’s invasion and cost their title. This could be a big babyface move and would help establish Jimmy & Roman as the babyface and build the stakes for the rivalry with Bloodline, taking the tag team titles away from the story.
1. Bloodline retains with the help of Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa
Bloodline can do anything to keep themselves on the top and to secure the titles. At this stage, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa could interfere during the match and help Tongans to counter DIY and Street Profits. The Bloodline in full force are proven to be unstoppable and with that they took out some of the biggest stars in the company. The same thing could repeat the upcoming week and result in Bloodline retaining the title.
