Two-time WWE Champion to host this year’s SummerSlam PLE
WWE is all set to host the 2024 SummerSlam Premium Live Event on August 3, 2024, from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. This is one of the most anticipated events and the second biggest event of the company behind WrestleMania. This year’s SummerSlam marks the 37th anniversary of the event and with this, it becomes the third longest-running event of WWE following WrestleMania and Survivor Series.
WWE added some of the most anticipated matches featuring some of the big stars in the company. There are high stakes for the show, the show is expected to be a grand success and could break a number of records. With already having high stakes, WWE officially announced the special guest host of this year’s SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
Host for WWE SummerSlam 2024
On the July 29, 2024, episode of Monday Night Raw, Cathy Kelly interviewed The Miz backstage, where the A-Lister revealed himself as the special guest host of the 2024 WWE SummerSlam PLE. The Miz was excited to host this year’s SummerSlam in his house in Cleveland, Ohio.
His tag team partner R-Truth interrupted him and asked if WWE had brought the WWE ‘In Your House’ back. Miz explained that the PLE is in Cleveland, which is his hometown. Truth had doubt, as Miz is from Los Angeles. However Miz said that he is in LA, but he grew up in Cleveland. Miz wanted to be a good host and we could expect a lot of fun times with his tag team partner R-Truth on the show.
Following that WWE officially announced it on their social media handles.
This is not the first time The Miz has been hosting a Big Five pay-per-view of the company. WWE previously hosted WWE WrestleMania 39, where he had matches against Pat McAfee, Snoop Dogg and Shane McMahon and was a great entertainment.
Apart from the match card, big venue and the special guest host, the popular American Rapper Jelly Roll will be appearing live and will perform at the event to make it one of the grandest events in recent years.
