John Cena will kick off his retirement tour on 01/06 WWE Raw
The 16-time WWE Champion, John Cena is all set to kick off his retirement tour on the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix. The debut episode is scheduled for January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Cena has won the WWE Championship a total of 13 times and the World Heavyweight Championship 3 times. He is currently tied with WWE Legend ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair for a total of 16 world championship titles to their name.
Ahead of his retirement tour, many fans are hoping for a 17th title reign to see the greatest of all time for one last time holding up the coveted WWE title and solidifying his name in history books as the only superstar to do so.
However, in a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair stated that he doesn’t believe Cena has any interest in breaking that record.
“John Cena doesn’t want to break a record. He doesn’t give a sh*t about that. He’s in a different world now. Wrestling will always be his passion but he doesn’t care [about breaking the record].” Ric said

Ric Flair believes Charlotte Flair will become the 17-time champion
During his appearance, The Nature Boy expressed that it’s a women’s world now, and if someone is to break the title record it will be her daughter and WWE superstar Charlotte Flair.
The WWE legend believes that Charlotte breaking the record would be a monumental moment in the wrestling world, eclipsing all else. The Nature Boy also disclosed that during her hiatus, Charlotte has utilized her downtime to tap into her own vast potential, setting the stage for a triumphant return.
“I still think the biggest thing in the business when it happens…is her breaking the title record…I just think it’s a woman’s world now and she’s the best woman wrestler alive and I think this time off, as unfortunate as it was because of the severity of the injury, I think she’s been able to sit back and realize just how damn good she is.” Ric stated
Charlotte is currently a 14-time WWE champion, The Queen has been inactive for the past eleven months due to injury. The last time she was seen in the ring was in December 2023.
In her last in-ring appearance she competed against Asuka on the 12/02/23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. During that match, she tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus which forced her out of action.
Amidst swirling rumors and speculation surrounding her comeback, Flair has been quietly gearing up for her return, recently resuming training and sharing glimpses of her progress on her social media accounts.
