WWE Rumor Roundup: Karrion Kross contract year, PLE in London & more (April 01, 2025)

In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Karrion Kross being in his contract year, a PLE in London and more.
Karrion Kross contract year
According to a report from Fightful Select, Karrion Kross’ contract with the Stamfrod-based promotion is set to expire this year. Sources indicate the deal may end this summer and note that Kross has impressed WWE officials with his growing popularity on social media and the TV time he’s received.
While Kross has competed inside the squared ring since December last year, since then he has been making appearances backstage in segments with major names such as AJ Styles and Sami Zayn.
WWE PLE in London
When asked by Alex McCarthy of the Daily Mail if WWE is planning to bring another PLE to the UK “in the next year or so,” Triple H responded, “Oh yeah, for sure.” McCarthy also reported that Triple H mentioned India as “a place he’d like to go.”
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, WWE President Nick Khan also confirmed that the company is considering having a Premium Live Event (PLE) in India in the next two years. While the promotion has held a handful of shows including live events.
“That’s the goal, and we’re pencilling out 2026 and 2027 now. In one of our first meetings with Netflix after the deal was signed. Without asking, Netflix handed us a list of their priority countries. At the top of that list was India.
And knowing that the race would come into play on April 1 in India, if it’s important to Netflix, assume it’s important to us. India has always been important to us. So we’re pencilling it out now, and let’s wait and see.” Khan on holding a major event in India.
NXT’s Jacy Jayne
According to Fightful Select, TNA officials have been impressed by WWE NXT‘s Jacy Jayne during her Impact appearances. Furthermore, PWInsider also reported that Jayne’s Fatal Influence team is set to appear at an upcoming TNA PPV.
Fatal Influence is a stable on WWE’s developmental brand which consists of Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx.
Update on Drew McIntyre
On the 03/28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Damian Priest retaliated for the previous attack and ambushed Drew McIntyre as he was leaving the arena in a good mood after pinning Randy Orton. While McIntyre tried to fight back, Priest retaliated and landed a South of Heaven directly on the card windshield, shattering it in the process.
McIntyre was seen struggling and yelling that pieces of glass had gotten into his eyes as security and officials rushed in to separate the two and provide Drew with medical attention. PWInsider earlier reports that Drew McIntyre did, in fact, get glass in his eye from Priest’s chokeslam.
However, PWInsider later clarified that while McIntyre received treatment for the eye injury at the scene, it was not glass. WWE doctors checked McIntyre before he left the March 28 SmackDown. The report also adds that he wore an eyepatch backstage and told people glass had been removed.
