TC from WrestleVotes reported that ESPN had interest in hosting the WWE Draft on its streaming platform, but the concept was ultimately scrapped because it didn’t fit a PLE-style format.

ESPN began with the inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE in September, and all the Premium Live Events in the United States now stream exclusively on the platform.

The outlet also mentioned that there is significant hype surrounding Carmelo Hayes, highlighted by an overwhelmingly positive reaction to his recent title win at SmackDown tapings.

Hayes defeated Ilja to become the new United States Champion during the December 26 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which was pre-taped from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on December 19, due to the Christmas holiday season.

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, The Hardy Boyz have not yet signed new contracts with TNA, though indications suggest a deal could be finalized in the near future. After the report, Matt Hardy recently stated on X that The Hardy Boyz have “been re-signed for a while.”

Per Fightful Select, Andrade is now free to sign with any promotion after WWE agreed to waive his non-compete clause.
