The wrestling world is never stable or smooth sailing, as there are always new updates and storylines in WWE. While Monday Night Raw on October 12 answered questions about Carmelo Hayes’ absence, the following are some new updates from pro wrestling that need further clarification.
As for the upcoming PLE, Crown Jewel 2026, there is still speculation over the venue, and so is the future of star wrestler Sheamus. Meanwhile, TNA has officially announced that it will no longer work with Max Caster after his controversial entrance rap at Bound For Glory.
Here is a roundup of the latest WWE and wrestling news, including developments around the pro wrestling world, the recent Money in the Bank PLE, and much more.

Tiffany Stratton’s MITB win, John Cena Classic & more

Per WrestleVotes, the promotion decided to go with Tiffany Stratton over Roxanne Perez for the win after noticing that a growing number of fans were predicting Perez to come out on top. The promotion wanted to avoid making the outcome too predictable and instead chose Stratton, who already has an established storyline that fits the direction of the angle.
WrestleVotes also shared details about Je’Von Evans’ spot at Money in the Bank, which saw him take a bump through the roof of an ambulance. The spot was designed to generate viral attention while protecting Evans from taking a straightforward loss.
Additionally, according to WrestleVotes, Penta was not originally expected to be in such a prominent position just a month ago. However, his performance in Mexico City against Roman Reigns made him a creative favorite, leading WWE to accelerate plans for his current push.
Meanwhile, Fightful Select has reported two possible dates for The John Cena Classic: December 12, following Wrestlepalooza, or December 19, which would put the event up against AEW’s Worlds End show.
Sheamus’ future is still in doubt

As a free agent after his WWE exit, Sheamus has also drawn interest and backstage pushes from veterans within AEW, though formal talks have remained limited. Then there was interest from TNA too. TNA considered Sheamus as their top choice to face Moose at the pay-per-view following his departure from WWE.
Per False Finish, TNA Wrestling originally wanted him to answer Moose’s open challenge at Bound for Glory on October 11, 2026; the appearance did not happen. At the same time, the star didn’t show up for the challenge, leaving this an open end for fans.
TNA removes Max Caster from main roster
Although Moose was not his opponent that night, Max Caster responded to the call, and it became a problem for the wrestler eventually. During his TNA debut at Bound for Glory, the controversial entrance rap where he referred to the attacks that happened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia became the center of controversy.
He included a bomb-related line in the lyrics of his entrance rap. The line became the subject of criticism because the attacks resulted in fatalities and injuries. Eventually, TNA backed off the line, and the executives were disappointed with it. TNA then came out with an apology to the affected people and announced that Max Caster would never perform for TNA again.
The controversy spoiled Caster’s debut in TNA and raises the question about the way promotions should treat unexpected lines of their wrestlers during live events. Caster’s departure from TNA is official; however, the future of his career remains uncertain.
Crown Jewel Venue is still a big question
There was already doubt over the chance that the Crown Jewel 2026 event is going to be in the Middle East. According to wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, there have been speculations that WWE would eventually move the November 7 premium live event out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; however, WWE has not announced anything as yet.
Meltzer was heard saying on Wrestling Observer Radio that Crown Jewel has not been brought up at all during the Money in the Bank show that aired on October 10.
Meltzer believes the company may already be considering an alternative venue, but arranging a replacement location with less than a month remaining could prove challenging. He also suggested that WWE would prefer to proceed with its original plans for as long as possible before making a final decision.
Notably, Liv Morgan vs Chelsea Green and Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn are two matches announced for Crown Jewel 2026 PLE, where the promotion has kept advertising the PLE for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during the match announcement at last night’s Raw.
The uncertainty follows reports of a deadly missile strike at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which has raised concerns about travel and security. The situation has reportedly become a topic of discussion within WWE, with the event drawing closer.
Return of Carmelo Hayes was PLANNED
Carmelo Hayes’ shocking return on the October 12 episode of RAW may have been planned well in advance. According to False Finish HQ, Royce Keys personally asked WWE to bring Hayes into The 946 storyline, paving the way for his surprise appearance.
Hayes had been absent from television as the company continued building the narrative surrounding The 946 and its ongoing rivalry with The Bloodline. His absence now appears to have been part of a broader creative plan rather than an indication of an uncertain future.
Hayes made his return during the closing stages of the six-man tag team match between The Bloodline and The 946. He attacked Solo Sikoa and The Usos with a crowbar, revealing himself as the masked assailant and helping The 946 gain the upper hand.
When is the next WWE PLE after Money in the Bank?
After Money in the Bank, the next WWE PLE would be Crown Jewel, which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh on November 7.
Which Matches are announced for Crown Jewel 2026?
So far, Liv Morgan vs Chelsea Green and Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn are two matches announced for Crown Jewel 2026 PLE.
