The Lions caused an upset by beating the Blues.

Bottom-placed Delhi Dynamos registered a stunning 2-0 victory over Bengaluru FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Sunday thanks to second-half goals from Lallianzuala Chhangte and Romeo Fernandes. Here's how the Indian players fared in the match.

Delhi Dynamos

Arnab Das Sarma - 7.5

The stand-in goalkeeper of the Delhi outfit is gaining confidence steadily after the injury concerns to Albino Gomes and Xabi Irureta. The #29 of the team kept Dynamos in the match on many occasions with his satisfying yet raw saves. His positioning may cause trouble for the national capital club if the star keepers keep on visiting the doctor a bit often. He kept the clean sheet by making 3 tremendous saves

Pritam Kotal - 7.5

The inch-perfect tackle pulled by Pritam Kotal

The right-back of Delhi was stern on a slightly warm night in the ca. His runs down the right wing and frequent last man standing tackles in the penalty area displayed the character of India’s best right-back. Despite the team’s form in this season, Kotal has been instrumental towards his personal duties. He assisted the goal scored by Chhangte.

Vinit Rai6.5

Starting after a patch of team shuffling in a few previous matches, the Tata Academy graduate could not have any impact on the game, but may have potentially dented the team on various occasions. He made petty errors just outside the box and lacked his trademark pressing display. The highlight of his performance was the perfect man-marking on Lenny Rodrigues.

Romeo Fernandes - 8.0

He was probably the best player on the field. The Goan winger paired up with Pritam Kotal pretty perfectly and it was evident by Delhi's flow in attack. Most of their attacks came in from the right and the defensive arsenal of Romeo allowed Kotal to run amok in the final third.

Lallianzuala Chhangte - 8.0

Chhangte rose to the occasion and broke the deadlock in the second half

Lalianzuala Chhangte started the game in a more central role than anticipated. He played in the hole behind the captain Kalu Uche and scored an intelligent goal. The Mizo youngster had three shots on target creating two chances.

Nandhakumar Sekar - 6.5

The Chennai born forward played on the left of the 4-man midfield and failed to have a major impact on the game. Despite his successful dribbles and long balls, he was substituted at the 85th minute by Lugun.

Substitutes

Munmun Lugun - NA

Came on in at the 85th minute and did not have much of an impact.

David Ngaihte - NA

Substituted in at the 90+2nd minute. Did not spend enough time on the pitch to get a rating.

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu - 7.0

The first choice keeper of India could not save his team from a defeat on the night. However, despite of the result, he kept the team in the match on many occasions.

Harmanjot Khabra – 6.5

The miss-timed coordination of Jereon Lumu and Nadha Kumar Sekar saved Khabra of any embarrassment while defending. On the attacking front, he lacked the much-needed pace and composure on the right wing for the Blues.

Rahul Bheke - 7.0

Probably the best Bengaluru player on the field, he kept Chhangte in check yet shipped a goal. With 100% successful duels, four clearances and a couple of tackles, he could not keep the team from on-field Delhi dominance.

Subashish Bose - 4.5

The red card of the game

The worst player that was on the field was the Bengali full-back. Kotal and Romeo kept Bose on his feet, tucking in and out on various occasions. The first goal came in from the right wing after a patchy display by the player. In minutes he received a red card that Delhi converted and doubled the lead.

Lenny Rodrigues - 6.5

The central midfielder was well man-marked by Vinit Rai. Vinit followed him like a ghost and barred him from making a greater impact on the game. He could only complete 84% of the passes but still played as a shield for the back four of Bengaluru FC.

Sunil Chhetri - 6.5

The captain of the Indian national team had a rather off game. Last time when Bengaluru struck three goals against the same outfit, Chhetri played a pivotal role in the victory and a lot was expected from him, but he failed to trigger a comeback for the team.
