Tejaswin Shankar has breached past the 7500 mark in the three meets he has taken part so far and is pretty close to getting to the national record mark. The 24-year-old secured PB in Pole Vault by jumping over 4m (previous best 3.60m) and also put in best efforts in throw events.

National Record holder Praveen has breached the 17m mark in all the meets he has participated this year and continued the same at Inter States as well.
Pavitra in women's vault created a new meet record vaulting 4.10m and in the process qualified for the Asian Games (breaking her statemates Baranica Elangovan's record). After jumping over 4.10m, Pavitra set the bar at 4.22m to break the national record but couldn't breach it in three attempts.
