Indonesia’s star shuttler Sinisuka Ginting is set to miss the BWF World Championships 2023. Irwansyah, Ginting’s coach said few days earlier that he is still not in the position to take part in the tournament mentally after his mother’s death so he will not be flying to Copenhagen.
The badminton fans will also eagerly wait for a strong game between world-ranked five Jonatan Christie and Lee Zii Jia from Malaysia. Jonatan Christie lost in the pre-quarters of the Australian Open 2023 in a close and intense encounter against NG Tze Yong of Malaysia. Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo with a world rank of 21 is also a decent bet for Indonesia at the BWF World Championships 2023 with a recent quarter-finals finish at Japan Open 2023.
The recent form of women’s doubles duo Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto and Mixed doubles pair Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja/Dejan Ferdinansyah was also an ordinary one with both exiting in the round of 32. The prominent shuttlers will look to better their form at the BWF World Championships 2023.
