Momota was initially selected to compete at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, but an injury forced him to withdraw. Despite his absence, Momota remains a formidable competitor. Lee will aim to use his speed and agility to overcome Momota’s experience and strategic prowess.
Following recent successes at the Arctic Open and the Denmark Open, Malaysia’s badminton star Lee Zii Jia is determined to maintain his impressive form at the Korea Masters 2023.
Lee’s primary goal at the Korea Masters 2023 is to accumulate crucial qualifying points for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A strong performance in Gwangju could significantly enhance his chances of representing Malaysia in Paris next year.
If Lee successfully wins his first-round encounter, he will face the winner of the match between Germany’s Kai Schaefer and Spain’s Luis Enrique Peñalver in the second round.
