Defending champion PV Sindhu has pulled out of the competition.
The BWF (Badminton World Federation) Syed Modi International 2023 is the 34th tournament of the 2023 BWF World Tour and is also part of the championships, which have been held since 2009. The competition is set to begin on November 28th and will conclude on December 3rd. The event is part of Paris Olympic qualification and the players taking part will look to accumulate maximum points on offer.
India's top ranked men's singles shuttler, HS Prannoy, is set to spearhead the Indian contingent alongside Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth. Defending champion PV Sindhu due to an injury will not be competing in the upcoming edition.
In her absence, Aakarshi Kashyap will be the top seed from India. Upcoming star Unnati Hooda who has shown good improvement in the recent time will need to in the qualifiers for getting into the main draw.
