Glenn Maxwell is leading Melbourne Stars in the BBL 13.
Glenn Maxwell, the captain of Melbourne Stars, brought some pure joy during their Big Bash League encounter against Sydney Thunder.
During the game, Maxwell was mic’d up and spoke to the commentary team while fielding. When Haris Rauf came into bowl at the Oval, Maxwell made several jokes about him and his bowling intentions.
Maxwell made fun of Brett Lee, who was commentating, and said he never understood what the fast bowlers were up to. Even four months ago, the all-rounder joked that he was unfit to field and was giving out simple runs that he would have stopped.

Maxwell had a fantastic visit of India, which included ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The batter hit the fastest World Cup century against Netherlands and the first-ever ODI double century while chasing against Afghanistan. He also scored his fourth T20I century against India in the series following the World Cup.
Coming to the match, Glenn Maxwell had won the toss and decided to bat first. Beau Webster made 59, Maxwell made 30, Thomas Roger and Hilton Cartwright made contributions helped Stars to reach 172 in 20 overs. Daniel Sams with 4/33 and Zaman Khan with 3/24 were the best bowlers for Thunder.
In reply, Alex Hales (40) and Cameron Bancroft (30) added 78 runs in 7.2 overs for the opening wicket. Then Oliver Davies and Daniel Sams (22*) made sure Thunder reached the target, despite Beau Webster taking 4 wickets and rattling the middle-order. Thunder achieved the target in 18.2 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
