India and South Africa will play the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final in Barbados on June 29.

The ninth edition of the ICC T20 World Cup saw a total of 20 teams taking part for the first time in the history of the tournament.

The T20 World Cup 2024 was played over 28 days across nine venues in the Caribbean Islands and the United States of America. After the tough competition between these 20 sides, we have finally reached to the grand finale of the tournament, where India and South Africa will face each other for the ultimate title.

India journey en-route reaching the T20 World Cup 2024 final

The Rohit Sharma-led side played all their group stage matches of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States. Out of four games, the Men in Blue won three of them.

However, their last fixture against Canada was abandoned due to rain. In Group A, India finished at the top with seven points to their name in order to qualify for the next round of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The Rohit-led side then traveled to the Caribbean Islands to play their remaining T20 World Cup 2024 matches. In Group 1 of Super 8, the Indian cricket team won all three games and finished at the top with six points to their name.

After reaching the semi-finals, the Men in Blue faced defending champions England in Guyana, where they defeated them by 68 runs and made it to the final.

The Indian cricket team will take on the undefeated Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the grand finale of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29. The championship match will take place at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

How much prize money will India get if they win the T20 World Cup 2024 title?

If Rohit Sharma-led India clinch the T20 World Cup 2024 title, then the side will get the prize money of $2.45 million, which is approximately INR 20.36 crores. If the Indian cricket team end their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign as the runners-up, then they will get $1.28 million (INR 10.63 crores, approx.).
