India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets to win their fourth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In the 17th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, held in Pune, India faced Bangladesh. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a target of 257 runs for India. Bangladeshi innings were anchored by Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das, who scored 51 and 66 runs, respectively. However, India's bowlers, especially Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj picked up two wickets each to restrict Bangladesh to 256/8 in their 50 overs.

The big upset in the match came when Hardik Pandya had to leave the field after suffering an ankle injury, adding a twist to the proceedings. In response, India's top-order batsmen, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, played crucial innings, scoring 48 and 53 runs, respectively. Virat Kohli scored a blistering knock of unbeaten with 103 runs, guiding India to victory alongside KL Rahul. India achieved the target in 41.3 overs, securing the win by 7 wickets and enhancing their position in the tournament.
