India to play pink-ball warm-up match ahead of day-night Adelaide test in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25

India will tour Australia for five-test Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 later this year.
In November this year, the Indian cricket team will tour Australia for a five-match test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25.
This time the series will be of five test matches compared to four tests as usual. It will kick off on November 22 in Perth and the last test of the series is scheduled to start on January 3 in Sydney.
India are the current holders of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and have held it since 2017, having won four consecutive test series against Australia.
India won the test series on their last two trips to Australia and are the only Asian team to ever win a test series Down Under.
India scheduled for a two-day warm-up game with pink ball ahead of day-night test in Adelaide
The second test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25, which will be played in Adelaide, is a pink-ball test and it will start on December 6. Between the scheduled end of the first test and the start of the second test, there is a 10-day gap.
During this period, Team India will play a two-day warm-up fixture in the day-night timings against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra with pink ball. This warm-up match will take place on November 30 and December 1 at Manuka Oval.
On their last tour of Australia, in 2020/21, India lost the day-night test in Adelaide, where India were bowled out for their lowest score in test cricket – 36/9 in the second innings. However, the side bounced back inspirationally to clinch the series 2-1.
So far, India have played four day-night test matches, winning three and losing one.
Ahead of the first test in Perth, India will play an intra-squad warm-up game at the WACA from November 15 to 18.
