ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Inzamam-ul-Haq resigns from the post of Chief Selector
It seems like there is nothing good happening with Pakistan cricket team. After their poor performance in the World Cup 2023, they suffered another massive blow. The former Pakistan captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq, has resigned from the position of PCB chief selector. He sent his resignation to PCB head Zaka Ashraf after Pakistan's four consecutive defeats in the tournament.
Inzamam was on this post for a period of six months. Notably, PCB recently sent a press release where they required everyone to support Babar Azam and Inzamam-ul-Haq. However, it looks like there is something not good within the governing body and the players. However, Inzamam's resignation will put a financial burden on PCB.
Some media reports confirmed that the board is liable to pay Inzamam a total sum of approximately PKR 15 million, which is around 2.5 million PKR monthly for six months.
