Five batsmen scored over 1500 runs in international cricket in 2024.

The year 2024 was another entertaining, action-packed year of cricket throughout. ODI cricket took a backseat and wasn’t much relevant in 2024 as the first half of the year was dominated by T20Is and the second half by test cricket.

After a few test matches in January, the attention turned towards T20Is with the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 slated for June. After that competition in West Indies and the USA, teams rammed up their preparation for the longest format as they contested in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle.

Let us see the top run-scorers in international cricket in 2024, by each format and collectively.

Behind Jaiswal is the English duo of Ben Duckett and Harry Brook with 1149 runs and 1100 runs respectively. Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis took the world by storm as he averaged 74 in nine tests, scoring 1049 runs and hitting five tons.
