Virat Kohli lost his cool at a TV journalist upon arriving in Melbourne for the fourth BGT test.

Indian superstar cricketer Virat Kohli had a clash with a female Australian TV journalist at the Melbourne Airport upon his arrival.

The 36-year-old seemed to be upset with the filming of his kids with whom he travelled from Brisbane to Melbourne, where the fourth test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT_ 2024-25 will be played, starting on December 26.

Kohli gave a mouthful to the female reporter before walking off. He returned and pleaded with the media of respecting his privacy when he’s with his kids.

Kohli said, “With my kids I need some privacy, you can’t film without asking me.”

A report in 7News.com.au stated that since Virat Kohli was in a public space, he could be filmed without permission.

Things, thankfully, ended well. “He did take a minute to clear the air with media once it was explained his kids in fact weren’t being filmed and even shook the Channel 7 cameraman’s hand,” the report in 7News added.

Channel 7 reporter Theo Doropoulos explained that it was a case of misunderstanding.

“It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children,” Doropoulos said on 7NEWS.

Meanwhile, Kohli would be looking to bounce back to form in the fourth test at the MCG. After his century in Perth, Kohli recorded scores of 7, 11 and 3.

India would be hoping that the former skipper returns to his best for the next two tests in the series, both of which are must-win for India to reach the ICC WTC 2023-25 final without depending on other results.
