The Premier League is home to many rivalries. Between Manchester United and Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal, and lots more. One such rivalry, and perhaps the oldest one, is the Merseyside derby. The derby is played between Everton and Liverpool. The derby is known for the aggressiveness of the game, resulting in the number of red cards issued.

They have played a total of 148 matches between them. The Reds are leading the winning tally as they have won 65 games. Everton have only managed to win 29 games so far, with 54 of the total games resulting in a draw. They faced them yet again in the Premier League, and Liverpool managed to defeat them yet again. Throughout their history, many players have managed to play for both of these rivals.
