The American winger came to the limelight after scoring a brace against Korea Republic in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The footballing world has welcomed a special talent in form of left winger Nimfasha Berchimas. Nimfasha who hails from North Carolina, USA have shone brightly in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup opener against Korea Republic. In the opening game of the U-17 World Cup, the U.S. Under-17 Men’s Youth National Team defeated Korea Republic 3-1 thanks to goals from 15-year-old attacker Nimfasha Berchimas and midfielder Cruz Medina.
Berchimas had put the United States ahead in the opening ten minutes of the match at Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. Berchimas became the youngest player from the United States to score at a tournament since Freddy Adu in 2003. He went on to score his second goal in 74th minute using his weaker foot. In the Major League Soccer Next Pro, the youngster plays for Charlotte FC. In his 8 appearances so far, he has scored one and assisted once. He is yet to make his regular MLS season debut, but we can say that this moment is surely not far!

While he is still waiting for his MLS debut, Nimfasha Berchimas has already had an impact with Crown Legacy FC, Charlotte’s MLS NEXT Pro team. Even though this talented 15-year-old athlete has only played in eight games, he has already scored one goal and given one assist, thereby showing great promise. At the age of just 14, he was signed by Charlotte FC in 2022 becoming the six youngest signing of MLS. He has proven to be a gifted player not just on the home ground but also in international competitions, as seen by his two goals in the FIFA U-17 World Cup for the USYNT U-17 team.
