Al Hilal ready to offer £180m for Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has only scored two goals this season

Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal are still in with a massive £180 million offer for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, according to reports.

Marcus Rashford’s agents have received a mind-blowing offer with huge fees. The English forward will be offered over £600k per week if he joins the club.

The 26-year-old forward is under a Man United contract until 2028. He has 22 appearances to his name and made five goal contributions, which include two Premier League goals along with three assists in all competitions.

Paul Scholes criticised Marcus Rashford earlier this week and said,

“It’s disappointing. You spend a lot of money on players that you expect more from. You have (Marcus) Rashford who was brilliant last year, but he can’t find the form,” Scholes told TNT Sports.

“I think the easiest thing to coach in football is defending and getting yourself in a nice solid shape. The hardest thing as a coach is to get your team to score goals, and to teach them how to score goals.

“You can’t get inside their head, you can’t pass the ball for them, you can’t make their decisions at vital times for them, it has to come from them. In the past that quality has been there, it’s just at this moment in time it is seriously lacking.”

Erik ten Hag must find a way to get the best out of Rashford, who has not started in the Premier League since the defeat by Newcastle at the beginning of December. He signed a new long-term contract in the summer worth a reported £315,000 a week but has managed only two goals for his club. Ten Hag admitted that his talisman was “not happy” but placed the onus on Rashford, who missed the crucial games against Bayern Munich and Liverpool due to illness, to “take the responsibility”. The manager said: “I’m sure he will do that and he will line up himself.”
