Man United Sporting Director John Murtough pictured in Saudi Arabia ahead of January transfer window

Manchester United are hoping to make some profit by selling their fringe players
John Murtough, the football administrator of Manchester United, was in Saudi Arabia just recently for transfer negotiations.
The goal of the club is to sell players to earn money for January acquisitions. According to Mail Sport, Murtough had talks in Riyadh with Saudi Pro League executives. Some of the United stars up for transfer are Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho.
Although it is believed that Murtough left Saudi Arabia without agreeing to any moves, he did for United some significant new ties and more negotiations are scheduled.
Manchester United might have to wait as long as the summer to make a trade with the wealthy Saudi clubs because SPL clubs aren’t going to be as engaged throughout the January window after consuming over £750 million on new players last summer. This is because numerous of the top-flight’s 18 clubs currently exceed their abroad player limit.
Sancho’s departure from the starting team is United’s top aim for the upcoming month. The England winger was benched during United’s Premier League loss to Arsenal in September and afterwards was essentially labelled a liar by Erik Ten Hag.

While the trio of Varane, Martial, and Casemiro are still valuable components of Ten Hag’s team, United will consider any offers given to them.
United’s accounting position makes a sale more necessary because the team may be getting near to the Premier League’s Revenue and Performance Rules cap.
Their July sanction of £260,000 from UEFA for a minor break-even deficit’ in the 2022–2023 accounting term was a clear sign of their precarious financial situation.
Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, and Mason Mount all moved to Old Trafford for a combined total of about £200 million last summer as part of United’s massive summer spending spree, which will not be able to continue next month.
