Two players with three hat-tricks in Europa League history
Aubameyang scored three goals in a 3-3 draw with Ajax in the Europa League
Eighty times since the UEFA Cup was renamed the UEFA Europa League in 2009, 63 distinct players from 31 separate countries—representing 49 clubs from 19 different countries—have netted a minimum of three goals in one match (a hat-trick).
On September 17, 2009, the opening day of the new league, Liédson of Sporting CP versus the Dutch team Heerenveen became the first to achieve so.
In the UEFA Europa League, eleven individuals have bagged three hat-tricks; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Radamel Falcao were the sole individuals to have done it three times, while Aubameyang is the only individual who has scored hat-tricks for three separate clubs.
Five players have gone on to rack up over three goals in a game: Aritz Aduriz of Athletic Bilbao scored all five goals in a 5-3 victory against Genk on November 3, 2016, while Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani, Willian José, and Patson Daka each managed four goals.
With three each, Falcao and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are the top scorers in the Europa League. Falcao’s triples were all earned during Porto’s championship season of 2010–11, while Aubameyang is the only player to have scored hat-tricks for Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, and Marseille. Only Diogo Jota and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have scored hat tricks in back-to-back games.

2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang left Chelsea after a disappointing season and moved to Marseille, one of the biggest teams in Ligue 1, to conclude his time in the Premier League.
When the Gabon international moved to France at the age of 34, some said he was nearing the end of his career.
In a 4-3 victory over a 10-man Ajax, Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a triple trick that featured two penalties, one in regulation time, and an incredible overhead kick. With 11 points, Marseille leads Group B. Brighton is behind by one. Third-place AEK now has four points, while Ajax has two.
1. Radamel Falcao
No campaign has ever seen fewer than three hat-tricks (2009/10, 2011/12, 2022/23). In 2010–11, the Colombian striker scored three goals on his own, the most by any player in a single campaign.
Falcao, who scored an incredible 17 goals in 14 games for Porto in 2010–11, now owns the all-time record for most goals in a Europa League season. The following season, while wearing the colours of Atlético de Madrid, the Colombian once again finished top scorer. Only one other player, Athletic Club’s Aritz Aduriz, finished first place both in 2015–16 and 2017–18.
