Trent Alexander-Arnold out for three weeks due to ligament tear; Liverpool injury update

For Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold will be sidelined for a few weeks. with a ligament tear.
“Trent hyperextended his knee in the game, there is a tear in the lateral ligament. He will be out for probably three weeks. It is a big blow, one of the most important players, he is always decisive.”
The vice-captain will miss some time due to a knee injury sustained during Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal. Assistant coach Pep Lijnders stated, in a statement to the club website:
Sidelines. Speaking to the club website, assistant manager Pep Lijnders said: “First of all, some not-that-good news, Trent hyperextended his knee during the last game.
“So he has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee and he will need time to recover. He had a scan and he will be out for a few weeks, so let’s see after that.
“He will get some rest and then hopefully he can come back to where he was. Because this guy was decisive in all the games and was the one who created constantly for us from deep and gave the team a high level of flexibility. We will really miss him.”
Liverpool looks to virtually lock up a spot at Wembley before travelling to Craven Cottage when they play Fulham in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
