Manchester United ready to listen to offers for Casemiro in January
Casemiro has missed the majority of the season with injuries
Due to the expensive contract that Manchester United awarded Casemiro last summer, the player is having difficulty finding suitors.
The 31-year-old former Real Madrid midfielder signed a £60 million contract last year, becoming one of Erik ten Hag’s first significant acquisitions.
He had a fantastic first season in the Premier League. The Brazil international is reportedly open to transfers during the January transfer window, although his performances have been lacklustre this season.
After deciding to buy a 25% share in his childhood team, Ineos CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe is currently in charge of sports activities at Old Trafford and is anticipated to carry out a major recruitment revamp.
Ratcliffe reportedly criticised United’s poor recruitment tactics, using Casemiro’s signing as an example, before his agreement with the Glazers. However, getting rid of him is proving to be more difficult than expected.

A recent story from The Sun claims that because of the conditions of Casemiro’s contract, which still has two and a half years left on it, United are having trouble finding any teams ready to sign him. The veteran reportedly makes almost £350,000 a week, according to numerous reports.
Casemiro’s departure would drastically reduce the club’s current payroll expenditures, but aside from a few of Europe’s most competitive and aggressive clubs in the Saudi Pro League, few teams could afford his present salary.
After missing time due to a hamstring injury since November, Casemiro, along with Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez, and Harry Maguire, is getting close to playing again.
However, given United’s intention to let Casemiro go, it’s unclear how long he will stay at the team. Richard Keys, the host of BeIN Sports, went so far as to say earlier this week that Casemiro’s time at the team was “over” in response to a question on whether or not the midfielder would still be starting if he hadn’t been injured despite his dismal play.
