When will Andre Onana be back for Manchester United from AFCON 2023?

Andre Onana will represent Cameroon in AFCON 2023
Because of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023, Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat will miss a few matches for Manchester United. To turn around their season and get back on track, Manchester United will be looking for back-to-back victories at this critical point in their 2023–24 campaign.
However, because of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, which will begin in January in the host nation of Ivory Coast, head coach Erik ten Hag will be forced to contend with absentees.
Andre Onana, the custodian, and Sofyan Amrabat, the midfielder, will not be available for Ten Hag as they are playing for their separate national teams, Cameroon and Morocco. Depending on how well their teams perform in the Ivory Coast competition, they could miss several games.
On January 13, the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) is set to begin in Ivory Coast. On Monday, January 15, Cameroon will play Guinea in the first match of the group stage. Two days later, Morocco will play their first game against Tanzania.
According to reports, Manchester United and Cameroon were able to reach a consensus about Onana’s postponed release.

Following the Red Devils’ match against Tottenham on January 14, the custodian will travel to Ivory Coast to join his international colleagues, just in time for the national team’s inaugural match the following day. This has been agreed upon by both the national team and the club.
With this arrangement in place, Onana should only miss the FA Cup’s fourth round—that is, if Manchester United advances past the third round—should Cameroon be eliminated in the preliminary phase.
Onana isn’t going to miss any action for the Premier League team if the club and the national team, respectively, are eliminated from the FA Cup in the third phase and the AFCON in the group phase.
Onana may miss a maximum of four club games, including a probable FA Cup fourth-round fixture, should Cameroon advance to the AFCON 2023 final, which takes place on February 11.
Onana is anticipated to line up for United in the FA Cup on Monday, but it’s unclear if he’ll play for his club or the nation after that.
