Sadio Mane, the former star for Liverpool, wed Aisha Tamba, his 19-year-old lover, in a secret ceremony in Senegal.

The wedding is believed to have happened on January 7 in Keur Massar, a neighbourhood of Dakar’s funding, just six days after the Africa Cup of Nations got underway on January 13.

It was reported that friends, family, and fellow football players attended the occasion. The precise duration of Aisha’s relationship with the 31-year-old footballer is unknown, although reports state that she “was long intended for him since her teenage years.” In Senegal, sixteen is the legal age of consent.

Additionally, Pulse Sports revealed that the former Liverpool player paid her bills while she was enrolled in school.

Aisha actually 18 years old, according to early reports, while Senegalese media on Tuesday night stated she was 19 and lived in a neighbourhood of Dakar, the country’s capital.

The pair is claimed to be private individuals who practise Islam together. ‘Thanks to God’ was written in Arabic with a selection of the official wedding images on @SMane_Officiel.

The wedding’s photos have been posted to Instagram by the @Magvision_Evens_Officiel photography company. In the pictures, Mane and his spouse—the daughter of an architect—are shown holding hands and posing following the wedding. She was raised in the Casamance region of Senegal.

In one picture, the words “Mrs. Mane” are written on the wall while the couple sits beneath a bouquet of roses.

The two appeared to be happy and content as they sat alongside on a sofa after their wedding in a video that @abdullahayofel uploaded to X (previously Twitter).

The caption read:
