Is Vissel Kobe vs Inter Miami cancelled? Lionel Messi injury update
Messi is unlikely to play in pre-season match against Vissel Kobe
Many people in Hong Kong experienced heartbreak as Lionel Messi missed Sunday’s play against their national side. But, Japanese supporters, who anticipate seeing the Argentine on the field on February 7th against Vissel Kobe of the J1 League, are alarmed by his absence.
Despite doubts regarding Messi’s physical condition, Inter Miami have promised to persevere throughout the Japanese tour.
The Miami team have lost its first four preseason matches and is off to a disastrous start to the season. The team showed grit after an agonising rout against Al Nassr, as they defeated Hong Kong 4-1 without its stars Luis Suarez and Messi.
However, as the club’s X (formerly Twitter) handle recently stated, the attention is on the match versus Vissel Kobe.
Paradoxically, though, the audience would probably anticipate that Inter Maimi’s captain would take the front stage. Many in Hong Kong demanded a refund after being let down by Lionel Messi’s absence. Notably, this led to the government requesting a response from the organisers to appease supporters.

After expressing regret to the Hong Kong supporters, coach Martino confirmed the niggling hamstring ailment that has been plaguing Messi. As Martino stated,
“Leo has an inflammation of the adductor, as we saw from the images of his muscles. We were expecting an improvement, but the situation has been there for many days.” This statement could not only affect the final tour match but also the initial phase of the season.
Furthermore, the club has included a link to the tickets in the post, and the tickets for the match versus the Japanese team are still available. Earlier, Apple TV had removed the match from its MLS Season Pass roster, casting doubt on the trip’s schedule to Japan.
Messi’s form has suffered due to a nagging ailment, as seen by his poor performances on the Asian tour and restricted playing time. His 7-minute cameo against Al Nassr and early removal against Al Hilal, combined with his full absence from the most recent game, has raised concerns.
