The Gaurs now hold the record for the most hat-tricks by a single club in the ISL.
FC Goa have established themselves as the undisputed leaders of hat-tricks in the Indian Super League(ISL). With an impressive tally of 10 hat-tricks scored by their players over the years, the Gaurs have left their rivals far behind, with Mumbai City FC trailing behind with seven, followed by Chennaiyin FC with four and NorthEast United FC have three. Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters, Jamshedpur FC, Hyderabad FC, and Mohun Bagan Super Giant have only two hat-tricks each.
The Gaurs have scored hat-tricks against six other sides in the league, which is also the most by any team. This shows their ability to adapt to different playing styles and exploit the defensive weaknesses of their opposition.
With players like Borja Herrera continuing the tradition of scoring hat-tricks, FC Goa fans have every reason to be optimistic about this season. The team’s attack has been further enhanced with star striker Armando Sadiku, returning to form and displaying his unique goal-scoring abilities.
Let’s take a look at all the hat-tricks scored by the Gaurs in the Indian Super League in the past few seasons.
Borja Herrera – vs East Bengal FC (ISL 2024-25)
Led by Borja Herrera’s hat-trick against his former club, FC Goa secured their first win of their Indian Super League 2024-25 campaign as they defeated hosts East Bengal 3-2 in Kolkata. Borja’s first goal came in the 13th minute, as he capitalized on a loose ball and slotted it into the net.
His second goal was set up by Boris Singh’s perfectly weighted cut-back, which found him in the box to slam home. The Spanish midfielder’s third goal came in the 71st minute, as he received a pass from Udanta Singh and cruised into the penalty area before rippling the back of the net.
Noah Sadaoui – vs Hyderabad FC (ISL 2023-24)
Noah Sadaoui’s hat-trick powered FC Goa to a 4-0 win over Hyderabad FC’s young squad in the previous ISL season. After a goalless first half, Noah turned the tide early on in the second period after coming on as a substitute. In 12 minutes, the Moroccan international scored a hat-trick, with goals in the 47th, 54th, and 59th minute, and a match that could have gone either way was firmly in FC Goa’s favour by the hour mark.
Iker Guarrotxena – vs East Bengal FC (ISL 2022-23)
Iker Guarrotxena etched his name into FC Goa’s history books with a sensational performance against East Bengal in ISL 2022-23. The Spanish striker scored a blistering hat-trick in just 12 minutes, showcasing his clinical finishing skills and ability to capitalize on scoring chances.
Guarrotxena scored his first goal of the match with the help of Devendra Murgaonkar and Noah Sadaoui in the 11th minute. The Spaniard doubled his tally in the 21st minute and completed his hat-trick by scoring another goal within the next two minutes. This feat earned him a place in the Indian Super League’s record books as the third-fastest hat-trick scorer in the league’s history.

His second goal came in the 41st minute, as he evaded Anirudh Thapa’s challenge and fired in a powerful shot.
The striker completed his hat-trick in the 53rd minute, showcasing his sublime first touch and finishing ability. Ferran Corominas – vs Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC (ISL 2017-18)
The Gaurs’ favourite foreigner, Ferran Corominas, showcased his exceptional goal-scoring ability with not just one but two hattricks. In a remarkable display of skill and efficiency against Kerala Blasters FC, ‘Coro’ scored three goals in just eight minutes of the second half, turning the match around for his team.
His first goal of the game came in the 48th minute, as he capitalized on a mistake from the Blasters’ keeper and his second goal was a moment of pure brilliance. Coro did not allow the Tuskers time to breathe as he scored his third goal, just four minutes late thereby completing his hat-trick.
The Spanish sensation’s second hat-trick came in a seven-goal thriller against Bengaluru FC at the Fatorda Stadium. Coro opened the scoring for his side in the 15th minute with a sensational solo effort as his mazy run through the defense, followed by a powerful shot, left the Blues surprised. Just after the half-hour mark, Coro struck again, capitalizing on a well-placed header from Bruno Pinheiro.
The forward slotted the ball into an empty net to give FC Goa the lead in a 4-3 win while scoring his second hat-trick for the side. Till date, Coro is the only player to have scored two hat-tricks for the club, retaining another unique record.
Reinaldo – vs Kerala Blasters FC (ISL 2015)
Brazilian forward Reinaldo Da Cruz Oliveira had a significant impact during his 17 appearances for FC Goa. He was renowned as the Gaurs’ super substitute for ISL 2015 because of his ability to make an instantaneous impact the minute he was brought on. His seven goals and three assists are also a testament to his skill.
In the match against Kerala Blasters FC, Mandar Rao Desai played a key role in setting up Reinaldo’s goals, delivering precise crosses from both the right and left flanks. Reinaldo’s ability to evade defenders and finish with composure was evident throughout the match, as he consistently found the back of the net despite going up against the brutish presence of the likes of Sandesh Jhingan and scoring the third hat-trick of the 2015 season.
