How can Kerala Blasters qualify for ISL 2024-25 playoffs?

Kerala Blasters are aiming for a strong finish to the league stage, with their playoff dreams hanging in the balance.
The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season is approaching the final stretch of its league stage, with teams now having a clearer picture of their prospects. The competition appears settled at the summit, with Mohun Bagan SG pulling away with a 10-point lead at the top in the race for the shield. However, things in the middle of the table are getting tight, with uncertainty still looming over which teams will make it to the top six, making the final few matches pivotal in shaping the final standings.
With the playoff race heating up, Kerala Blasters are exploring every possible route to secure their spot. After a season marked by ups and downs, an unexpected managerial change, and the interim staff stepping up to deliver crucial results, they now find themselves in a do-or-die situation. With four matches left in the league, they are eyeing a playoff spot, but the road ahead won’t be easy.
How can Kerala Blasters claim a playoff berth?
After their defeat to Mohun Bagan, the Tuskers face an uphill battle to secure a playoff spot. Their only chance is to win all their remaining matches, including a crucial clash against Mumbai City FC, while also depending on Mumbai to drop another two points in their other two games.
Another possible route is for NorthEast United FC to lose six points from their last three fixtures. However, even if one of these scenarios unfolds in their favor, Blasters would still require Odisha FC to drop points in at least one match. They must also maintain a better goal difference than Punjab FC, who could end up with the same number of points if both teams win all their remaining games.

That task won’t be easy, as they are set to face three of the league’s top five teams in their remaining fixtures. To stay in the playoff race, they must deliver standout performances against FC Goa, Jamshedpur FC, Mumbai City FC, and Hyderabad FC, making their path to qualification even more daunting.
The Blasters camp remains optimistic despite their last result, with TG Purushothaman determined to address their issues up front by improving coordination in the final third as the season nears its end. As the playoff race heats up and fans hope for everything to fall into place, Kerala Blasters are expected to step up and deliver strong performances in their remaining matches to keep their hopes alive.
