The Red Miners are fresh off a slender defeat to the Juggernauts.

Jamshedpur FC have kicked off their Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season with remarkable resilience, getting the better of formidable opponents like FC Goa and Mumbai City FC to secure all six points.

Led by head coach Khalid Jamil, endearingly dubbed as the “Miracle Man” of Indian football, Jamshedpur FC have swiftly gained a reputation for dramatic comebacks, showcasing their fighting spirit by bouncing back after conceding first in both games. However, their momentum met a slight setback after a narrow defeat to Odisha FC at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Now, with eyes set on redemption, Jamshedpur FC will aim to return to winning ways as they prepare to host East Bengal FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, affectionately called “The Furnace.”

Ahead of their upcoming clash with East Bengal, Jamshedpur FC’s Khalid Jamil, joined by midfielder Mobashir Rahman, addressed the media to reflect on their season’s performances so far. Jamil candidly acknowledged that his team have struggled to open games strongly, conceding the first goal in each of their three fixtures. He emphasized the importance of not overlooking these early-game lapses and staying committed to addressing them swiftly.

As for his strategy against East Bengal, Jamil highlighted his adaptable approach, explaining that he tailors tactics according to the unique demands of each game situation. His aim remains to foster a resilient, entertaining team that both reflects and repays the unyielding support of the loyal fans.

Jamil said, “Our previous game was not up to the mark. We are determined to improve. If we play well and stick to our plan, we should deliver a positive result.”

When questioned about his view on the opposition, Khalid Jamil responded with confidence, stating that he isn’t concerned with the opponent’s identity or form. His approach to football is driven by unwavering optimism and fierce resilience. Jamil’s “never-say-die” mindset fuels the team’s fighting spirit, ensuring they play with relentless tenacity until the final whistle.

Jamil expressed his faith in the players, noting that his team selection is guided by their performance in training. He also hinted that there might be new faces or slight adjustments to the lineup as they prepare for their clash with East Bengal.
