The Highlanders were a better side, as they completely beat the hosts in all sections of the game.

Visitors NorthEast United carried on their good form, as they overpowered Delhi Dynamos with relative ease with a 0-2 scoreline. Federico Gallego and Bartholomew Ogbeche scored for the Highlanders, as they put in a rather dominant performance with an aim to reach their first-ever playoffs in ISL history.

In this article, we at Khel Now are going to analyze the performance of Indian players in the match:

Watch: Delhi Dynamos 0-2 Northeast united highlights

Delhi Dynamos

Lallianzuala Chhangte - 5.5

The youngster didn't have a good night, as he couldn't find himself in the game throughout his time on the pitch. The Mizo lad seemed to be lost as the ball didn't come much to his side. He was also physically overpowered by the opposition. There seemed to be something lacking in his play, as his movement seemed to lack any objective. He made way for Romeo Fernandes in the 79th minute.

Shubham Sarangi - 5.5

The 18-year-old had a better outing, when compared to his other attacking teammates. You could see him trying against physically stronger opponents, but he never gave up. Honestly, the NEUFC midfield and defence seemed to have a better hand in their half, as Delhi attackers were hustled throughout. Sarangi made one key pass, put in two crosses and created a big chance for his side.

Pritam Kotal - 4.5

The Delhi skipper hasn't been performing upto the mark since the Chennaiyin clash. To top it all, right winger Nandhakumar hasn't been giving able support to the right-back. As the skipper, he just couldn't inspire his teammates. The India international needs to improve if he wants his side to qualify for the playoffs.

NorthEast United were clever, as they figured out that Kotal and Nandhakumar weren't forming a good partnership on the right flank. So, they attacked from there or from the middle.

Narayan Das - 5.0

The left-back had a below-par game today, when compared to his previous display against Chennaiyin. It wasn't much his fault too, as his flank was isolated most of the time, and his mate Chhangte didn't give him much support.

Nandhakumar S - 4.5

The 22-year-old Tamil Nadu lad has not been able to build a good partnership with his captain yet. The right winger's incapability to provide able defensive support to his side, enabled NorthEast to exploit his flank. Attacking-wise too, he wasn't upto the mark.

Rana Gharami - 6.0

The former Mohun Bagan man was pretty decent in the first half, as he has been throughout the campaign for his side. He made three clearances and three interceptions. He even had two accurate long balls. He was taken off in the 46th minute due to a possible injury being replaced by Vinit Rai.

Substitutes

Vinit Rai - 5.5

The 21-year-old Assam lad couldn't do much, as his side were completely dominated by NorthEast. His only highlight was the 16 accurate passes he made.

Daniel Lalhlimpuia - 5.0

Daniel played just 24 minutes. He tried his best, but could not do much. Although, he did put in a better display than most of his teammates who had started the match.

Romeo Fernandes - NA

Romeo didn't have much time to prove anything, as by the time he put his foot on the pitch, NorthEast were already coasting.

NorthEast United

Pawan Kumar - 6.5

The 23-year-old custodian had another decent night, as he kept his side in the game. Although, he didn't have much to do he did come to his side's service whenever called upon.

Reagan Singh - 6.5

The Manipuri man put in a good shift to match his side's performance. Delhi tried to attack from his side, with the likes of Chhangte, but he won the battle. He won some key duels and didn't let the opposition get past him.

Rowllin Borges - 7.5

The midfield lynchpin kept his side ticking, both defensively and offensively. He kept on running everywhere to help his side. Dictating his team's tempo was his duty and he performed it superbly. He played 45 accurate passes and won seven out of eight duels.

Gurwinder Singh - 5.5

Gurwinder got substituted towards the end of the first half due to an injury. He was decent, and could have done more but for it.

Robert Lalthlamuana - 6.5

The left-back was good as he won the battle against Delhi right winger Nandhakumar and right-back Kotal. He wasn't too adventurous, but defensively solid. He made way for Keegan in the second half.

Redeem Tlang - 8.0

The 23-year-old Shillong lad was the best Indian player on the pitch. He made some marauding runs on the right flank for NEUFC, giving the likes of Narayan Das and Chhangte, a hard time. He won 13 duels, put in three crosses and made some key tackles.

Substitutes

Keegan Pereira - 6.5

The 30-year-old put in a good shift from the bench. He lofted in a few long balls and crosses, keeping his side's fluidity going. He could have got an assist. but Ogbeche missed the chance.

Lalthathanga Khawlhring - 6.0

He came in for Gurwinder towards the end of the first half. The multi-faceted defender put in a good shift, as his side didn't concede any goals and destroyed any Delhi threat. 90% of his passes were accurate.
