I prefer that Neymar does not return to Barca- LaLiga president Javier Tebas
The former Barcelona star has been linked with a return to Spain in the transfer window.
The La Liga president, Javier Tebas has expressed his concerns over Neymar’s rumoured return to FC Barcelona this summer and prefers that the move does not materialise due to his behavioural issues.
Speaking to Onda Cero, Javier Tebas was quoted as saying that, “I prefer that Neymar does not return to Barca. We always want to bring great players, but in the case of Neymar that behaviour is not good for the competition because in the end the news is if the player has done this or that,”
“We have worked a lot in La Liga to maintain the values and we don't want to change the image.” he further went on to add. The rumours of an exit from PSG surfaced after the club owner, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, had spoken about the zero tolerance towards ‘celebrity behaviour’ at the club, something that can be construed as an indirect comment on Neymar and his off the field behaviour.
Javier Tebas (LaLiga president): "I prefer if Neymar doesn’t come to Barça. We always want to bring great players but in Neymar’s case his behavior isn’t good for the competition because the news is always on about what he has done (outside the pitch). The Brazilian has been linked several times with a return to the Camp Nou, with reports suggesting his time at Paris Saint-Germain has come to a conclusion after the attacker secured a move to the Ligue 1 outfit for a world record fee of €222 million, two years ago.
However, his off the field antics and social media activity has landed the former Santos player in a lot of soup lately. Referring to Neymar’s tendency to cause controversies away from the football pitch, Javier Tebas further added by saying that, “He can be a great player, but the behaviour is very important in the values we transmit in the competition.”
“If outside the field the example is not correct, I prefer that he doesn't return to La Liga because he is not a good example,” concluded the 56-year-old.

It remains to be seen if the Blaugrana can afford their former player and bring him back to the club. They are near finalising the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid and are looking to offload several players in order to fund a potential move for Neymar.
